‘Our Time’ is an interactive sound and spatial installation that offers immersive auditory experiences of soundscapes and internal monologues. By employing sound as a documentary medium, the project explores the temporal dimensions of auditory landscapes of our time such as nature, urban environments, and human interactions.

During the exhibition, visitors are invited to share their secrets into a microphone. These narratives are then transformed into non-verbal audio languages, transmitted through small speakers, and dispersed anonymously throughout the space. This anonymisation process ensures speakers feel secure in sharing their stories. Alongside an exploration of Berlin’s soundscape, ‘Our Time’ raises inquiries into what can be heard and what remains unheard, what can be captured and what eludes recording, both in society and in nature.
